Cecelia Jennings Obituary, Death – The community of Greenwich is somber as it mourns the sudden and unexpected passing of Cecelia “CeCe” A. Jennings on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Surrounded by her husband John and loving family, CeCe left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her. In this time of grief, we celebrate the life of a remarkable woman whose presence brought joy and warmth to all who crossed her path. Born on December 18, 1960, in Glens Falls, NY, to the late Robert Wilkins and Roberta (Trombley) Wilkins, CeCe’s journey was one filled with love, family, and service to others. Her legacy lives on through the relationships she forged and the countless lives she touched.

A Family Woman and Loving Wife
Survived by her devoted husband John Jennings of Greenwich, CeCe’s love extended to her daughters, Rebecca (Kalin Jim) Beecroft and Lisa (Adam) Van Guilder. She leaves behind a sister, Cynthia Wilkins, and brothers Robert Wilkins Jr. and Richard Wilkins. CeCe also embraced her role as a stepmother to Joshua, Zackery, Jacob, and Jobe Jennings. Her family circle extended to 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, a testament to the love and warmth she shared.

A Journey of Service and Dedication
CeCe’s path led her to Hartford Central School, where she graduated in 1979. With an associate degree in medical records from Adirondack Community College, she dedicated her career to serving others in medical facilities. Her passion for pediatric care shone through as she worked as a medical secretary, particularly enjoying her role as a front desk receptionist in pediatric physicians and mental health facilities.

A Bartender with a Sympathetic Ear
Beyond her professional endeavors, CeCe found fulfillment as a bartender, a role she relished throughout her life. Serving drinks with a smile and a sympathetic ear, she created a welcoming atmosphere in numerous bars and watering holes. It was at the Old Station Inn where she met John for the first time, a cherished story she loved to recount.

Saying Goodbye and Honoring CeCe
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects to CeCe’s family on Friday, February 9th, 2024, from 2-5 pm at Flynn Bros, Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St, Greenwich, NY 12834. A memorial service will follow, with Rev. Keith Mann officiating. As we bid farewell to CeCe, we express gratitude to the Easton-Greenwich Rescue Squad and Saratoga Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit for their professionalism and support during this challenging time.
