Jayden Morris Obituary, Death – The man slain in a shooting near downtown Fort Wayne has been identified as a football player from the University of Saint Francis. Following a shooting incident that left at least one person injured, Jayden Morris unexpectedly passed away, causing the University of Saint Francis Football team and the larger school community to grieve his loss. “We are deeply sorry to inform you of Jayden Morris’s demise. During this extremely trying time, our thoughts are with his family, friends, and teammates,” USF Football said on social media on Sunday. Reports state that at around 11:40 on Saturday night, there was a gunshot near Fort Wayne’s downtown, leaving one guy dead and two injured.

Police were called to the 1200 block of Rivermet Avenue after hearing gunshots in the area. According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, when they arrived, they found three guys who had been shot. Upon arrival, medical personnel declared one of the men dead. Two more people were sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the FWPD. The cops claim they don’t know why the incident happened. Investigators searched for evidence. The responding cops searched an alley with flashlights in hopes of finding a probable fleeing suspect. Police also questioned neighbors about a possible suspect car they saw leaving the area.
