Born on November 16, 1970, in Rahway, NJ, Toby’s journey was defined by his commitment to serving his community, both as a certified auto mechanic and as an emergency medical technician (EMT). His impact on those around him will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

A Life Devoted to Service

Toby’s journey of service began with his education at Lincoln Technical Institute, where he pursued his passion for auto mechanics. He went on to become a certified EMT, serving with dedication at Blue Mountain EMS and Nazareth EMS. Additionally, Toby was a committed volunteer firefighter, serving with the Three Bridges Volunteer Fire Company in New Jersey, the Wind Gap Volunteer Fire Company, and the Forks Township EMS in Pennsylvania. His selflessness and dedication to helping others in times of need made him a respected member of his community.

Cherished Memories with Family and Friends

Beyond his professional commitments, Toby was a loving father to his daughter, Emma Lawson, and a beloved member of his family. He is survived by his parents, Maryann and Robert Binder, siblings Nancy Carrasquillo, Rosemary Binder, Dyan Cotier, and Robert Binder, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and great-nieces. Toby’s devotion to his family was evident in the cherished moments they shared together, and his love for his daughter, Emma, was a central focus of his life.

Toby’s love for life extended to his friendships and hobbies. He enjoyed spending time with friends, tinkering on vehicles, and embracing the simple pleasures of life. His warm smile and easygoing nature endeared him to those around him, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In honoring Toby Lawson’s memory, a funeral service officiated by Rev. James DeVries and Last Call will be held at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington, NJ, on Thursday, August 10, 2017. Calling hours will be held prior to the service, providing an opportunity for friends and loved ones to come together to remember and celebrate Toby’s life.
