He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence McCarty, and his brothers Mark and Roger McCarty. Born and raised in Knoxville, TN, Dennis was a beloved son and brother whose memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

Dennis is survived by his mother, June McCarty, his loving fiancée, Missy Flannery, and his children, daughter Sydney McCarty and son Billy McCarty (Holly). He is also survived by his grandchildren Taylor and Justin McCarty, Bodhi, Walker, and Mylah McCarty. Additionally, he leaves behind his brothers Timmy (Patty), Greg, Buster, Phillip, and Bo McCarty, and his sisters Anita Clark (Robert), Judy McGhee, Sharon Deobhakta, and Yvonne Smith. Dennis was also surrounded by lifelong friends, including Rex McCarter (Anita), Harry Valentine (Sara), Kevin Flannery (Margaret), Wes Estabrook, Devin Koester (Leslie), and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
