Whitesell, a beloved member of the West Terre Haute community, passed away on February 6, 2024, at the age of 91 1/2, in Harrison’s Crossing Health Campus. Born on August 6, 1932, in New Goshen to Tony Meadlo and Myrtle Christenberry Meadlo, Margie’s early years laid the foundation for a life dedicated to family, community, and service. Margie is survived by her three children: Brenda Whitesell, Kenny Whitesell (Anita), and Donna Hux (Rob). Her enduring love extended to her grandchildren, including Brooklyn Zigler (Brian), Kayla Sinders (Jonathan), Carlie Smith (Ryan), Heather Whitesell (Branden), and Jessie Kellum (Dustin). The family circle widened with great-grandchildren Ainsleigh, Tinleigh, Brinleigh, Finleigh, Alice, Royce, Annabell, Raylan, Ryker, Amelia, Dean, and Charles. Despite the passing of her husband, Donald Whitesell, on July 27, 1996, Margie’s commitment to family remained a cornerstone of her life.

Honoring a Life Well-Lived
Services to celebrate Margie’s life will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana, at 11:00 am. Pastor Bob Roush will officiate the ceremony, with burial following in Pleasantview Cemetery. Friends and well-wishers are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
