Born on July 29, 1946, Rosie was the daughter of the late James W. and Ina (Lattimer) Frisbie. For many years, Rosie served as a dedicated hairdresser, running her own salon right from the heart of her home. Her warm and inviting demeanor made her customers feel like cherished friends. Beyond providing expert haircuts, Rosie took the time to share coffee and tea with her clients, creating a welcoming atmosphere that extended far beyond the stylist’s chair. A Loyal Walmart Employee

After her successful stint as a hairdresser, Rosie transitioned to a new chapter in her career, joining the Wal-Mart family. For 29 years, she worked diligently in the Fabric Department, leaving an enduring legacy of hard work and commitment. Her colleagues remember her as a reliable and friendly presence, always ready to lend a helping hand. Rosie’s dedication to her job was a testament to her strong work ethic and the genuine care she held for those around her. Rosie is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brother and sister-in-law, James E. and Catherine Frisbie, and son-in-law Gary Powers. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Ann Powers, granddaughter Julie Powers and husband Bobby, brother and sister-in-law Larry and Sherry Frisbie, and brother Charlie Frisbie. Additionally, she leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

Celebration of Life

A Time of Visitation is scheduled for Friday, February 9, 2024, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 7:30 pm officiated by Rosie’s lifelong friend, Rev. Linda Rogers. The burial will take place at Tioga Point Cemetery on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 11 am, providing an opportunity for family and friends to pay their final respects.
