Arthur Pesavento Obituary Joliet, IL Resident Has Sadly Passed Away

Arthur Pesavento Obituary, Death Cause – Arthur J. Pesavento, aged 65, peacefully passed away on February 5, 2024, at Lightways Hospice in Joliet, Illinois, surrounded by his family. Art was a lifelong resident of Lockport, Illinois, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. After graduating, Art began his career at the EJ&E Railway, where he dedicated many years of service until its closure in 2013. Undeterred by the change, he continued his work ethic and became a valued member of the Laborers Union, Local 75 in Crest Hill, Illinois, where he eventually retired.

Family Man and Survivor

 

Art faced the sorrow of losing his daughter, Brandi Shuman, and granddaughter, Makayla, both of Jacksonville, Florida, before his passing. He also mourned the loss of his parents, Marcus and Margaret Pesavento. Despite these heartaches, Art found strength in his surviving daughter, Toni (Zach) Duke, and his five grandchildren, McKinley and “Henny” Duke, Parker, Jace, and Lily Shuman, all residing in Jacksonville, Florida. Art is survived by his siblings, Paul (Nikki), Kathy (Willis), Karen, and Mark, who remember him with love and fond memories. He also leaves behind nephews Chris and Russ Pesavento, who will continue to cherish his memory.

A Man of Few Words and Simple Pleasures

 

Art was known as a man of very few words, but his actions spoke volumes. He was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers, finding joy in cheering for his favorite teams. Additionally, he enjoyed the excitement of horse racing, a hobby that brought him relaxation and entertainment. Those who knew Art will remember him for his quiet strength, his dedication to his work, and his unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on through the memories he created and the love he shared with those closest to him.
