Eugenia Michael Obituary, Death – It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Eugenia Michael, who peacefully departed this world at the age of 91 on Tuesday, 30th January. Her life, spanning decades and continents, leaves an enduring legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories. Eugenia’s journey began on the picturesque Greek Island of Chios on 1st August 1932. In 1952, she embarked on a new chapter by moving to England, eventually finding her home in North London. Through the years, Eugenia became an integral part of the community, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.
Eugenia is survived by her daughters, Helen and Lisa, her son-in-law Hugh, and her adoring granddaughters, Eleanor and Amelia. In the face of this profound loss, the family finds solace in the countless moments of joy, laughter, and love Eugenia shared with each of them. “She will be greatly missed and always loved. May her memory be eternal.” The funeral service to honor Eugenia’s life will be held on Thursday, 15th February, at 12pm at the Greek Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist, Wightman Road, N8 0LY.
Following the service, a burial will take place at New Southgate Cemetery (St Sophia Section), Brunswick Park Road, London N11 1JJ, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to be made to UCLH (University College London Hospitals). A collection box for donations will be available on the day of the funeral, As we gather to bid farewell to Eugenia Michael, let us celebrate the richness of her life, the impact she had on all who knew her, and the enduring love that will forever reside in our hearts.
