Joshua Smith Obituary, Death – On February 4, 2024, the community of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, was saddened by the passing of Joshua Paul Smith (Cali), a beloved member of the community. Born on October 15th, 1982, in North Kansas City, Missouri, Joshua touched the lives of many with his warmth, kindness, and infectious spirit. Joshua’s memory will be honored during a visitation at 3:00 pm on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Hidden Valley Funeral Home in Liberty, Missouri. The memorial service will commence at 4:00 pm, following the visitation, providing friends and family with an opportunity to come together to celebrate his life.
The son of Raymond Smith and the late Judy Dalene Smith, Joshua faced the trials of life with resilience and a spirit that endeared him to those around him. Tragically, he was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Maria Smith, his mother, and his father-in-law, Jerry Miller, among many other loved ones. Despite the challenges, Joshua’s legacy lives on through the love he shared with his surviving family. He leaves behind his children, Felicity Miller and Isaiah Smith, who will carry his spirit forward into the future. Joshua’s impact extended to his sister and brother-in-law, Tiffany and Eric Fierro, as well as his mother-in-law Mary Miller. He will be fondly remembered by his nephews Antonio Fierro and Angelo Fierro, and his niece, Isabella Fierro.
In this difficult time, Joshua’s family draws strength from the support of numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who shared in his journey. Their collective memories and shared experiences serve as a testament to the positive influence Joshua had on those fortunate enough to know him. As a community, we can come together to provide solace and support during this challenging period. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made directly to the family to help alleviate end-of-life expenses. This gesture not only honors Joshua’s memory but also offers practical assistance to his grieving family.
Joshua’s life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and shared moments. The memorial service on February 12th is an opportunity for friends and family to celebrate the joy he brought to their lives and to find comfort in each other’s company during this challenging time. In the midst of sorrow, we remember Joshua Paul Smith (Cali) as a vibrant soul who touched our lives with his warmth and left an indelible mark on our hearts. May his memory be a source of strength and inspiration as we come together to celebrate a life well-lived and bid farewell to a cherished member of our community.
