Ruth Marie Biel Obituary, Death Cause – Ruth Marie Biel, a woman of Slovak and Finnish descent, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2024. She dedicated her life to family, community, and the simple joys that made her days memorable. Born to Helen Arnio Komorosky and John Komorosky, Ruth was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. Ruth’s life in Coitsville, Ohio, was marked by her active involvement with VFW fundraisers. Her sense of community was evident as she worked tirelessly to support various causes close to her heart. Ruth initially embraced the role of a dedicated stay-at-home mom before venturing into a 30-year career as a nurse’s assistant. Later in life, she transitioned to a more relaxed and less stressful occupation as a rural paper route carrier, where she found joy in connecting with her customers.

Widowed in 1998 from Walter “Murph” Biel, Ruth faced further heartbreak with the passing of her ex-husband, Steve Anthony Bunetta, in 2013, and the loss of her daughter, Diana Marie Bunetta, in 2014. Despite these challenges, Ruth remained resilient and found strength in her surviving children: Denise (Charles) Pregibon, Stephen Bunetta, Michael (Debbie) Bunetta, Laura (Thomas James – Deceased) Best, and Jeffrey Bunetta.

She enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up, tending to her garden, and cultivating delicious strawberries, a variety of herbs, and beautiful flowers. A skilled canner, cook, and baker, Ruth was known for her specialties, including beef stew, beef stroganoff, and chicken paprikash.

An animal lover and nature enthusiast, Ruth fed the birds, cared for dogs and cats, and found artistic expression in various forms. From doodling and drawing horses and cows to building and finishing furniture, Ruth’s creativity knew no bounds.
