Cremation rites have been accorded to Rick, in accordance with his wishes. A private graveside service will be held at a later date, with Reverend Gretchen Stinebaugh officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Rick’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Gary Sinese Foundation, organizations that were close to his heart. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements, ensuring that Rick’s final wishes are carried out with dignity and respect.

Rick L. Stone was born on January 26, 1948, in Amarillo, TX, to Wilbur and Aldine Stone. On December 27, 1969, he married the love of his life, Terry Beck, in Pontiac, IL, who survives him in Bloomington. Rick’s legacy also lives on through his daughter, Tara (Richard) Lee of Hermosa Beach, CA, his brother Jerry (Linda) Stone of Pontiac, IL, and several cherished nieces and nephews.
A Proud Veteran
Rick proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps, where he bravely served in Vietnam. His dedication and courage were recognized with the awarding of a Purple Heart and Navy Commendation Medals for his honorable service. Rick’s commitment to his country and fellow servicemen exemplified his unwavering patriotism and dedication to duty.
Dedicated Career and Volunteer Work
Following his military service, Rick embarked on a successful career with R.R. Donnelley, where he spent 36 years in various leadership positions across the United States and South America. His hard work and dedication culminated in his retirement in 2006 as a Group Senior Vice President of Operations. In addition to his professional achievements, Rick was deeply committed to volunteer work, earning the title of Kentucky Colonel for his service to the Kentucky School for the Deaf.
