Christine Arnold Obituary, Death Cause – Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie “Christine” Arnold, aged 91, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel. Her grandson, Andy Arnold, will officiate the service. Following the service, interment will take place at Keller Cemetery. Christine was born on September 8, 1932, in Carter County, OK, to the late Mr. Henry Little Deatherage and Mrs. Delphia Rho (Thompson) Deatherage. She departed from this life on Friday, February 9, 2024, in Shawnee, OK.
A Life of Love and Marriage
Christine was raised in Springer, OK, and attended school there. She found the love of her life in Mr. Donald Hugh Arnold, and together they were blessed with two children, Leslie and Donna. Don preceded her in death on November 25, 1992. Christine and Don shared a deep and enduring love that was evident to all who knew them.
Dedicated Work and Family Life
Christine was a devoted wife and mother who also found fulfillment in her work. She held various positions in retail businesses, including Sears, CR Anthoneys, Wards, and Kib Warrens, all while supporting her husband’s pursuits in education after his honorable service in the Army. Christine’s dedication to her family and her work ethic were an inspiration to all who knew her.

In her leisure time, Christine enjoyed sewing, boating, and going on family trips to Texas. These cherished moments with her loved ones brought her immense joy and created lasting memories that will be treasured by her family for generations to come.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, granddaughter Lanora, sisters Carolyn Sampley and May Royal, and brothers Jamie Deatherage and Dewey Labeth. Christine is survived by her son Leslie Arnold and wife Genell of Shawnee, daughter Donna McPherson and husband George of Oklahoma City, sister Clara Fry of Springer, four grandchildren: Andy Arnold and wife Heather, Mindy Watson and husband Joe, Tracy Robertson and wife Julie, and Lori Zwermann and husband Rick, as well as 17 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
