Alongside his sister Betty and brother Carl, Jerry cherished the summers spent at the farm of their grandparents in Truckton, Colorado, creating cherished memories that would last a lifetime.

On July 12, 1958, Jerry embarked on a beautiful journey of love and partnership as he married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Burd. Together, they raised three children in Pueblo before settling on their permanent small farm east of Pueblo in 1972. He continued to lend his talents to Victor Mauro Farms and generously assisted friends and family with various projects, showcasing his remarkable skills in woodworking and metal craft.
