Tom was born on May 6, 1955, in Sterling, IL, to John and Isabelle Flock. From a young age, Tom was a sports fanatic, with a deep love for the Cowboys, Cubs, and Blackhawks. He found joy in cheering for his favorite teams and sharing his passion for sports with his family and friends. Additionally, Tom was committed to staying fit and active, enjoying activities such as working out and running to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

A Love for History and Animals

Beyond his love for sports and fitness, Tom was also a history buff who appreciated learning about the past and reflecting on its significance. He had a keen interest in exploring historical events and sharing his knowledge with others. Moreover, Tom had a soft spot for animals and found solace in the companionship of his beloved dog, “Izzy,” who brought him comfort and joy.

Celebrating a Life Well-Lived

Visitation to pay respects to Tom will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Monday, February 12, 2024, at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. A Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling, with Reverend James Keenan officiating. Tom will be laid to rest at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Happy Tails, a cause close to Tom’s heart. As we bid farewell to Thomas J.
