Alongside her husband Watson, Frances owned and operated Watson’s Flowers and Gifts in West Helena for an impressive 53 years. She was an active member of the Arkansas Florists’ Association and the state FTD organization, dedicating her time and expertise to the floral industry. Frances was also a lifelong member of West Helena Baptist Church, where she found solace and community throughout her life.

Frances is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Watson Light, and their loving children: son Tommy Light of West Helena, daughters Lanie Brandon (Bill) of West Helena, and Laurie Light of Boston, Massachusetts. She was a beloved grandmother to Lori Wooten (Mike) of Lexa, Arkansas; Kimberly Simpson (Justin) of West Helena; and Anne Marie Light of West Helena. Frances was also blessed with five great-grandchildren: Michael, Brooke, and Katelyn Wooten, as well as Emma Newsom and Adelynn Simpson. Additionally, she is survived by her brother Robert F. McDonald (Rita) of Arlington, Virginia. Frances’s love and devotion to her family will be forever cherished in their hearts.
