Paula Tollefson Obituary, Death- On Sunday, February 4th, 2024, the world unexpectedly lost a bright light with the passing of Paula Marie Tollefson at the age of 57. Born on July 25, 1966, to Irvin and Rony Tollefson in Brainerd, Paula’s journey through life was marked by resilience, laughter, and love. As family and friends gather to celebrate her life on Saturday, February 10th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter, the memories of Paula’s vibrant spirit will be cherished. Paula’s high school graduation in 1984 from Brainerd High School was just the beginning of a life filled with diverse talents and accomplishments. Whether crafting Christmas decorations, belting out tunes in the acapella choir, or demonstrating her prowess under the hood of a car, Paula proved that she could do it all. Her culinary skills were renowned, with friends and family relishing the amazing meals that she effortlessly whipped up in the kitchen.

Love, Laughter, and Lifelong Partnership

Paula’s days were most often spent in the company of her best friend and partner of 20 years, Marcia Hendrix. Their bond was a testament to the enduring power of love and friendship. Marcia lovingly recalls the unique wake-up call Paula received each morning, courtesy of Reba McEntire’s rendition of “Amazing Grace.” Similarly, Miranda Lampert’s “Time to Get a Gun” became Paula’s lively notification for every phone call. Their shared moments were filled with laughter, love, and a deep understanding of each other.

Passion and Pride

A lover of many things, Paula found joy in her nephews, grandsons, lake days, P!NK’s music, and passionately supporting the Minnesota Vikings, all while adorned in her favorite color, purple. Her zest for life was further evident in her 17 years of sobriety, a testament to her bravery and courage in overcoming challenges. Paula’s infectious laughter and positive spirit left an indelible mark on the lives she touched.

A Cherished Legacy

Paula is survived by her loving parents, Irvin and Rony, her partner Marcia, brother Paul (Dede) Tollefson, nephews Dylon (Brittney) and Cooper (Mara), grandsons Jayden and Gavin Hendrix, Marcia’s children Sara, Anna (Dan Gerber), and Erika Hendrix, her loyal dog Gracie, and numerous other family members and friends. Her memory is carried forward, as she joins her maternal grandparents, Hilda and Roy Boyes, paternal grandmother Genevieve Nephew, uncle John Boyes, and many other cherished relatives in eternal rest.
