Debra Kasiske Obituary, Death – Debra J. Kasiske, a beloved resident of Oconomowoc, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc. She was 69 years old. Debra’s life will be celebrated at a funeral service on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc, with Rev. Daniel Schmidt officiating. Prior to the service, relatives and friends may gather at the church from 1:00 p.m. A meal will follow the service at the church. Burial will take place on Monday, February 12, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lebanon.

Debra Jean Raether was born on November 16, 1954, to Palmer and Fran Raether at St. Mary’s Hospital in Watertown. She grew up in Oconomowoc and was a graduate of Oconomowoc High School. Following her passion for cosmetology, Debra attended cosmetology school and embarked on a career as a hairdresser in her younger years. Later in life, she transitioned to a different career path, dedicating over 20 years of service to Silgan Containers in Menomonee Falls before retiring.

On July 4, 1987, Debra married the love of her life, Michael Kasiske, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc. Together, they shared a deep bond built on love, respect, and mutual support. Debra is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Kasiske, and their loving children: Jamie Brunk (Sarah) of Ixonia and Courtney Brunk of Oconomowoc. She was a doting grandmother to Kilee Brunk, Sawyer Brunk, Kady Johnson, and Amelia Zombor. Debra also leaves behind her step-children: Mark (Lynett) Kasiske of Brookfield, Steve (Maria) Kasiske of Milwaukee, and Dan Kasiske of Milwaukee, along with her step-grandchildren: Devon Kasiske, Sebastian Kasiske, Erick Herrera-Hernandez, Christian Kasiske, and Marissa Kasiske. She is also survived by her siblings: Judy (Robert) Pieper of Lebanon, Jeff (Patty) Raether of Chapin, SC, and sister-in-law Linda Raether of Ixonia, as well as other relatives, friends, and her beloved Golden Retriever grandbabies.
