Hedy Jaracz Obituary, Death Cause – With heavy hearts yet profound gratitude for a life filled with love and joy, we bid farewell to our dear mother, Hedy (Czerniawski) Jaracz, of Rochester Hills, formerly of Sterling Heights. Hedy, our loving and strong mom, has gone home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. After a long, fun-filled journey spanning a remarkable 100 ½ years, we find solace in knowing that she now rests in Jesus’ loving arms, awaiting the joyful reunion that awaits us all.

A Legacy of Love and Family

Hedy, born on July 30, 1923, in Hamtramck, Michigan, was the cherished daughter of her parents and one of six beloved siblings. She was preceded in death by her siblings Ben Czerniawski, Mary Evans, Wanda Kosinski, Lillian Kata, and Ray Czerniawski, along with their spouses. On October 19, 1946, after his return from World War II, Hedy married Andrew Jaracz, with whom she shared 44 beautiful years until his passing in 1991. Together, they built a loving home while raising six children: Susan (George) Duditch, Andrew II, Gary (preceded in death), Marilyn (Gary) Enmark, Georgia (Paul) Osak, and Gloria (Steve) Wolken.

A Beloved Matriarch and Grandmother

Hedy’s legacy extended beyond her immediate family to embrace a wide circle of loved ones, including her nine adoring grandchildren: Donovan, Jill, Andy Joe, Ty, Kiley, Kendall, Cody, Elliot, and Corey (preceded in death by grandsons Shannon and Steven), as well as her fourteen cherished great-grandchildren. Her love and devotion knew no bounds, enriching the lives of each successive generation with warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support.

Before dedicating herself to her family, Hedy enjoyed a fulfilling career as a telephone operator at Michigan Bell. Her passion for life extended beyond her professional endeavors to encompass a rich tapestry of hobbies and interests, including crocheting, ceramics, and oil painting. Summers spent with family and friends in Prudenville were cherished highlights, filled with laughter, camaraderie, and unforgettable memories around the campfire.

A Lifelong Journey of Friendship and Learning

Hedy’s zest for life and love of learning were evident throughout her journey. Even in her later years, she remained active and engaged, fostering meaningful friendships during her eleven-year residency at Town Village Senior Living in Sterling Heights. Her love for water aerobics and participation in various classes underscored her enduring spirit and boundless energy. In her later years, she found comfort and care at Adored Living Adult Foster Care in Rochester Hills, where she was loved and well taken care of by devoted caregivers.
