Elaine Lowe Obituary, Death – It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we share the sad news of the sudden passing of our dear Elaine Lowe on January 19, 2024. Elaine, a beloved member of our community, left us unexpectedly at her home in the south of England. Her legacy is one of compassion, sailing adventures, and selflessness that touched the lives of many. Elaine Lowe, alongside her husband Rob, embarked on numerous sailing adventures that took them through the Caribbean, including Antigua, Belize, the British Virgin Islands, and St Vincent & the Grenadines. Their journey continued to Greece, Egypt, and Tenerife. Elaine’s love for the sea and sailing brought joy and excitement to those fortunate enough to share in her maritime experiences. The memories of these voyages will forever be a testament to her adventurous spirit.
Base Management in St Vincent: Elaine’s Dedication
From 2012 to 2015, Elaine and Rob managed our base in St Vincent, showcasing their dedication and organizational skills. Elaine’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for others reflected her generous nature and love for the sailing community. Her contributions left a lasting impact on all who crossed paths with her during their time in St Vincent.
Returning to England: A New Chapter with Judy
Upon returning to England, Elaine and Rob brought with them a rescued pup named Judy. They provided Judy with a life of luxury on the Isle of Wight, embodying Elaine’s compassionate nature towards animals. The warmth and care she extended to Judy reflected Elaine’s character, leaving a mark on the lives of those around her, both human and canine alike.
A Gift of Life: Elaine’s Legacy as an Organ Donor
In the midst of tragedy, Elaine’s selfless spirit shines through. Her dedication to being an organ donor has impacted the lives of two individuals who have received a kidney each from her. Elaine’s legacy of thinking of others before herself lives on in the improved health and well-being of those who benefited from her incredible gift. Elaine’s funeral will take place at 10.30 am on February 14, 2024, at the Isle of Wight Crematorium. Following the funeral, a wake will be held at the Brading Haven Yacht Club on Embankment Road from 12 noon onwards. All who knew and loved Elaine are welcome to attend, share memories, and celebrate a life well-lived. In this difficult time, we extend our deepest condolences to Rob and all those who were touched by Elaine’s presence.
