Jacqueline Groseth Obituary, Death- Jacqueline Ella Groseth, affectionately known as Jacque, peacefully passed away in her sleep on January 11, 2024, at Atherton Baptist Homes. Born on February 24, 1930, in York, Pennsylvania, she was the third of five children to Jacob and Julia Jury. After graduating from West York High School in 1948, Jacque’s family relocated to Salinas, CA, where she pursued office management studies at Hartnell Junior College. Upon the family’s move to Southern California, Jacque joined Coldwell Banker’s real estate office in downtown Los Angeles, where she met the love of her life, Lloyd Groseth, at a YMCA dance. They tied the knot in October 1955 and were blessed with three sons.
Passion for Education and Community Service
Jacque had a deep passion for education and community service. A devoted member of P.E.O., she dedicated her time to helping young women overcome educational and financial challenges. Jacque also tutored her sons and students at Harambee Christian Community Center, showcasing her commitment to empowering others. Her volunteer work extended to the San Marino public library, and she played a pivotal role in founding the Foothill Apartment Association.
Faith, Leadership, and Hobbies
A woman of strong faith, Jacque was an avid reader of the Bible, participating in the Bible Study Fellowship program multiple times. She joined the choir at Lake Avenue Church after her sons grew up. Jacque loved embracing new experiences, from sewing to cake decorating and interior design. Her two great passions were travel and tea, often combining both to share her knowledge of tea and tales from her worldly adventures.

Jacqueline Groseth is preceded in death by her siblings and ex-husband Lloyd Groseth. She leaves behind a legacy cherished by her three sons, their wives, granddaughter Samantha, and numerous nieces and nephews.
